The deadline to enter is 5 p.m. CST on March 1, 2025.
Winning entries will be featured on our website, awarded paid membership for 2026, and be recognized at our annual meeting May 9-10, in Gatesville, Texas. Winners will be notified by email.
Photos will be judged by a committee of the Board of Directors on clarity, content, and appeal. Their decision is final. Directors will not participate in the contest.
There are four categories (one winner per category and no one may win more than one category).
1. Katahdin Adult Sheep
2. Katahdin Lambs
3. Katahdins (Scenic View)
4. Katahdins and Children
TexKats members may submit a total of up to four photos - one per category.
Please submit photos electronically in a large format to the Texas Katahdin Sheep Association at texkats@gmail.com.
Photos become the property of TexKats for future promotion and advertising if needed and are non-returnable.
Remember photos will only be accepted from 2025 members. If you have not joined or renewed your membership for 2025 you may do so with the submission of your photos. Membership forms are found on the web site under the "members" tab. While we would love to see pictures of your Katahdins, you do not need to submit a photo to join TexKats.
